MP Gorduladze: Britain’s involvement in protest training is no surprise; harmful attempts are doomed to fail

“It’s no surprise when Britain is involved in training people for so-called protests, but in reality to organise violent rallies in our country again, to overthrow the government and bring agency rule to power through violence,” parliamentary majority member, MP Archil Gorduladze, stated.

According to Gorduladze, attempts to bring harm to Georgia are doomed to failure.

“None of this surprises us, because it was precisely the British Embassy that was trying to finance two people on the United National Movement list, and this was wrapped in a completely senseless cover. Now exactly the same thing is happening. It is hardly surprising that Britain is once again involved in all of this. To borrow from Britain’s former Prime Minister, the Deep State’s influence is particularly strong in Great Britain, and it is precisely the Deep State that is now trying to train its agents in various countries so that there will be chaos in Georgia afterwards. This is not surprising to society.

The main thing is that law enforcement agencies, the Georgian people, and Georgian Dream stand firmly together to protect our country’s sovereignty, and such trainings or involvements and attempts to bring harm to our country are, of course, doomed to failure,” Gorduladze declared.

Today, information spread that Great Britain is preparing Georgian activists in Lithuania for the October elections. The trainings are being conducted under the leadership of non-governmental organisations, the British-Georgian Society and the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
