MP Davit Matikashvili: Belgian Speakers agreed to convey Georgia’s clear message to EU institutions

“A businesslike meeting took place, during which key issues were discussed,” stated MP Davit Matikashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules, following high-level talks with the leadership of the Belgian Parliament.

According to Matikashvili, the host delegation raised pertinent questions, to which the Georgian Parliament Speaker responded with compelling arguments detailing Georgia’s strategic role and EU integration goals.

“Existing challenges and broader issues were thoroughly discussed. An agreement was reached that our hosts will duly voice our clear message and convey it to European Union structures,” Matikashvili noted.
