MP Archil Gorduladze finds it inconceivable to speak of Middle Corridor and connectivity while 'forgetting' Georgia exists

“It is inconceivable to speak of the Middle Corridor and connectivity whilst apparently forgetting that Georgia exists. It would seem Marta Kos has only just found Georgia on the map, which is perhaps why she is making such statements; however, there are questions to be asked of her,” said MP Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs.

Gorduladze expressed interest in determining whether Marta Kos has indeed identified mechanisms and means to bypass Georgian legislation, and whether she possesses the resources to channel illicit funds into the country to support those working against its interests.

“She will do none of that. When she speaks of Georgia, she would do well to remember that this country has a dignified people for whom national interests come first. Just as Georgia needs the European Union, the EU needs Georgia no less, and arguably more so, precisely from the standpoint of connectivity. When they speak of the submarine cable and afford it such priority, they might at least do Georgia the courtesy of showing it some respect before proceeding to talk about their own economic interests,” Gorduladze stated.
