MP Archil Gorduladze dismisses OSCE Moscow Mechanism report as unsubstantiated and politicised, criticising politically charged conclusions
According to MP Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, the report on Georgia produced within the framework of the OSCE Moscow Mechanism is both unsubstantiated and politicised.
In his assessment, the report’s conclusions are coloured by political bias.
“The so-called report is entirely unsubstantiated and politicised. We are well aware of Poland’s stance towards Georgia. When someone signs such a report, it becomes clear that the statements from OSCE Parliamentary Assembly representatives emphasising the need for dialogue and the importance of respecting constitutional and state institutions are being deliberately overlooked. It is evident that Georgia is being unfairly ‘blackened’. Our priority is to oppose anyone who wishes this country harm, through any legal means. The conclusion is laden with politically motivated opinions,” Archil Gorduladze declared.
The OSCE recently published a report on Georgia, prepared within the framework of the Moscow Mechanism, which examines developments in Georgia concerning human rights and fundamental freedoms since spring 2024, and offers various recommendations. Additionally, the report states that “laws on family values, transparency, agent registration, and provisions related to foreign grants should be repealed.”
