Most tourists who visited Adjara in 2019 came from Turkey

A total of 2 002 540 foreign tourists visited Adjara region of Georgia in 2019. The number is equivalent to an increase of 3.7% in comparison to 2018.

According to Adjara Tourist Department, the increase of incoming tourist was detected from European countries as well – Estonia – +67.3%, Latvia – +103%, Lithuania – +59.6%, Germany – +27.7%.

Turkey is leading in the top five countries with respect to the incoming visitors with 894 750 tourists, Azerbaijan – 206 412, Russia – 106 276, Israel – 100 992 and Ukraine – 59 342.
