MOH launches website that allows citizens to find information about family doctor

A web portal has been launched suggesting citizens to find information about their family doctor.

A person who has respiratory or other symptoms and does not know the contact information of the family doctor or medical institution, can call the Ministry of Health’s hotline – 1505, or search for information on the portal – ambulatoria.moh.gov.ge – with an ID number, says the order signed by Georgian Minister of Health on November 12.

Those who are neither beneficiaries of the universal health care program nor involved in a private insurance scheme should call 1505.

According to the order, the clinic provides management of symptomatic patients on a daily basis, till 18:00; During non-working hours, the patient’s call will be answered by the operator, or the answerphone will record it.
