Minister of Economy reviews current trends in aviation market for summer navigation season with air company representatives
Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, alongside Deputy Minister Tamar Ioseliani, met representatives of Air Companies.
The meeting focused on the smooth operation at Georgian airports and the coordination of plans during the summer navigation season. Mariam Kvrivishvili stressed that the government was committed to supporting air companies to maintain stability in the sector and further increase connectivity.
The meeting participants reviewed global challenges and their impact on the aviation market.
The Minister emphasized that 2025 was a record year for the Georgian aviation sector – during the peak period, more than 70 airlines operated on more than 120 air routes at Georgian airports with approximately 760 frequencies per week. She further noted that the growth tendency continued in 2026, and the Ministry actively negotiated with different countries on the launch of new direct flights.
Director of the Civil Aviation Agency Givi Davitashvili and Director General of the United Airports of Georgia Levan Moseshvili attended the meeting.
