Mikheil Maghlakelidze has been appointed Head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance reported/

Since 2019, Maghlakelidze has served as Deputy Chairman of the Security Police Department under the Ministry.

His appointment was made by the Prime Minister on June 24, 2025, under Article 13, Paragraph 1 of the Law of Georgia “On the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.”

Maghlakelidze has previously held various positions in the Municipal Inspection Service of Tbilisi City Hall, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Finance. His past roles include Head of the Kvemo Kartli Division of the Financial Police Investigation Department and Deputy Head of the Adjara Division of the Revenue Service Investigation Department.
