Migration Department expels 36 foreign citizens from Georgia
The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with relevant units of the ministry, expelled 36 foreign citizens from the country.
Those deported included citizens of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Turkey, Turkmenistan, India, Jordan, Iran, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, the Philippines, and China. Per the law, all expelled individuals have been banned from re-entering Georgia.
The Ministry noted that during the current month alone, the Migration Department expelled 115 foreign nationals. According to seven-month statistics for 2025, a total of 640 foreign citizens have been deported – a 233% increase compared to the same period last year.
“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its core functions is identifying foreign citizens without legal grounds for residence in Georgia and enforcing their expulsion,” reads the statement.
