In coordination with the Migration Department and other relevant units, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia expelled 29 foreign citizens from the country.
According to the ministry, the expelled individuals were citizens of India, Ghana, Turkey, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Latvia. In line with current legislation, they were also banned from re-entering Georgia.
“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration. Its mandate includes identifying foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal grounds and enforcing their expulsion,” the ministry said in a statement.
