NEA: Georgia to expect intermittent rain on August 9-11
Intermittent rain is expected in Georgia from August 9 to 11, the National Environmental Agency (NEA) reported.
Heavy rains are in the weather forecast on August 9 in seaside regions of Adjara, Guria, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and mountainous zones of Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions, while it will be raining on August 10-1 in Kakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti regions, with possible thunderstorms, hailstorms and strong winds.
“Heavy rains may cause swelling of small rivers and formation and activation of landsliding processes in the mountainous areas (threat level -medium),” NEA said.
