The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close cooperation with the relevant units of the ministry, has deported 97 foreign nationals from Georgia through targeted measures carried out over the past week.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in accordance with current legislation, those deported have been barred from re-entering the country.
“Thanks to the comprehensive efforts undertaken by the Migration Department, a total of 97 citizens from Turkey, China, Egypt, India, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Kenya, Sudan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Jordan, Russia, Somalia, Thailand, and other countries have been expelled from Georgia.
Following intensive nationwide operations, the number of illegal immigrants deported from Georgia has already surpassed 1,000. Considering the statistical data from previous years, this marks an unprecedented achievement,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
