Migration Department deports 34 foreign nationals from Georgia

In coordination with the Migration Department and relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA), 34 foreign nationals were deported from the country as part of recent comprehensive measures.

According to the MIA, the expelled individuals were citizens of India, Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Kenya, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

Under current legislation, the individuals have been banned from re-entering Georgia.

“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the authority responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its responsibilities include identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and executing their deportation,” the Ministry’s statement reads.
