Micro prisons may be established for juvenile convicts – Tea Tsulukiani, Justice Minister said when presenting the one-year report of the penitentiary system’s work.

According to Tsulukiani, closure of the #11 Penitentiary Facility for Juveniles is considered with the purpose of struggle against organized crime involving juveniles.

“There are juveniles who committed a mistake in their life but have dreams. They should not serve their prison term with others, who have opposite dreams and see themselves in another world,” Tsulukiani said.

Justice Minister said that a different approach would be taken with respect of those see their future as being a criminal authority.
