MIA unveils scheme of selling drugs through internet, 2 persons arrested

Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) unveiled the scheme of selling drugs through the internet, and arrested 2 persons – Natia Mezvrishvili, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs reported during the briefing.

Interested people contacted the charged persons via online application. The charged persons – a woman born in 1991 and a man born in 1994 were arrested in Tbilisi as a result of 2-month-long operative-investigation activities.

Police studied financial resources of the charged persons, their tactics and carried out control purchasing for the purpose of the investigation.

Investigation discovered places where drugs were hidden and confiscated the drugs. Further probing into the case is ongoing.
