MIA: Released information alleging that 20,000 Russian citizens crossed Georgian border through Larsi is not true
“The released information alleging that 20,000 Russian citizens crossed the Georgian state border through the Larsi checkpoint is not true,” said the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The MIA clarified that according to data from the last 24 hours, 7,880 citizens from various countries crossed the Georgian border via the Larsi checkpoint.
Also, during the same period, 8,406 citizens of various countries left the country through the same checkpoint.
The MIA stated that “this information is untrue and serves the deliberate dissemination of disinformation by certain interested stakeholders.”
“We call on all interested stakeholders to refrain from releasing unverified information as well as from spreading data based on incorrect interpretations or in a distorted form,” the MIA said.
