Clashes between police and demonstrators in France: Levan Akhalaia reporting for “Moambe” from Paris

Paris remains the epicentre of protests. Thousands of people gathered today at the Porte de Vincennes, a major historic gate and transport hub located on the eastern edge of Paris, the point up to which demonstrators were permitted to advance.

Law enforcement officers monitored the march; several incidents occurred, and more than ten demonstrators were detained. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, armored vehicles, and other special equipment have been mobilized for today’s rally.

Protests are held in other cities of France. The police used tear gas in Marseille and Lyon. A curfew is also in effect in certain areas of Paris.

The filming crew of the GPB First Channel’s Moambe News Program is working in Paris with Levan Akhalaia and Vakho Lekiashvili covering the protests.
