MIA detains Yemeni citizen on fact of attempt to unlawfully cross state border with counterfeit document

Officers of the Border Control and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), through operative and investigation measures, detained a citizen of Yemen on the fact of an attempt to unlawfully cross the state border with a counterfeit document.

According to the MIA, a citizen of Yemen was detained at the Tbilisi International Airport. The detained individual faces up to 5 years’ imprisonment.
