Meeting with ambassadors underway at MFA; German Ambassador reportedly absent

A meeting with the ambassadors accredited to Georgia is currently underway at Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). The focus of the meeting is on the recent events that unfolded on October 4 in Tbilisi.
The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Giorgi Zurabashvili chairs the assembly of accredited ambassadors.
According to available information, German Ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, did not attend the meeting at the Foreign Ministry.
Among those present are the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Paweł Herczyński, and Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. to Georgia, Alan Purcell.
