Mamuka Bakhtadze: We will use all platforms to make progress in de-occupation issues
In 2019, we will use all platforms together with our friendly countries in order to make further progress in the de-occupation issues, – Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze said at the briefing held today.
As Mamuka Bakhtadze noted, unfortunately, Georgia still faces two difficult challenges – Russian occupation and poverty.
“We will use all platforms together with our friendly countries to make further progress in de-occupation issues. Unfortunately, Russia has not yet fulfilled its 2008 obligations and has not withdrawn troops from Georgian territories” – Prime Minister said.
Mamuka Bakhtadze spoke about the peace initiative “Step for Better Future” and noted that he visited the plant in Ditsi village, which was opened within the funding of start-ups.
“I think what we have seen today is the answer to all the questions. Our response is just peace and development. We will make the maximum effort and focus together with the international community in order to start the implementation of our peace initiative Steps for Better Future as soon as possible. More such enterprises are on our occupied territories, the sooner we will be able to create new opportunities for our citizens living there” – Prime Minister stated.
