Major structural reforms implemented in Education Ministry

Several structural changes have been introduced to the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia as part of a broader reorganisation aimed at boosting the agency’s effectiveness.

This is outlined in a statement issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia.

“The functions of the Youth Department within the central office of the ministry will now be carried out by the LEPL Youth Agency.”

Furthermore, the LEPL International Education Centre and the NNLE Skills Agency Georgia will no longer operate as separate entities, but will continue to function within the ministry’s central structure.

In addition, there are notable developments in the area of inclusive education. By decision of the ministry, and in response to requests from parents and school community representatives, a new structural unit has been established within the ministry’s central office, the Department of Strategic and Inclusive Development,” the ministry’s statement concludes.
