Together with population of the globe, residents of Georgia’s capital Tbilisi witnessed full Lunar Eclipse last evening.

The eclipse began at 21:14 Tbilisi time. The “totality” period, where light from the Moon was totally obscured, lasted for one hour, 43 minutes.

A total lunar eclipse takes place when the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and covers the Moon with its shadow. When this happens, the Moon can turn red, earning its nickname of Blood Moon.
