Lukashenko wins Belarus presidential elections

According to preliminary results from the Central Election Commission of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko secured 86.82% of the vote in the presidential election. Among the other candidates, Oleg Gaidukevich received 2.02%, Anna Kanapatskaya 1.86%, Sergey Sirankov 3.21%, and Alexander Khizhnyak 1.74%. Additionally, 3.60% of voters chose to vote against all candidates.

Polling stations were open from 08:00 to 20:00 local time, with a total of 5,325 stations operating nationwide. Voter turnout was reported at 85.70%.

Alexander Lukashenko, who has been the President of Belarus since 1994, continues his tenure following these results.
