Lugar Laboratory in Georgia will be able to detect the novel coronavirus from Fab 4, the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of Georgia (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
“As a result of the negotiation, Georgia will receive tests that can identify 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
Sending test samples abroad will no longer be required,” Amiran Gamkrelidze stressed.
Currently, three patients have been placed in isolation. They are under observation in Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital.
The head of NCDC says “no case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Georgia.”
