“You have a difficult situation in the Caucasus region and we are ready to contribute to the stability of the region. We need Georgia as a leader and a champion. For this you need to de-escalate the internal situation, find a way for dialogue,” said Žygimantas Pavilionis, a member of the Lithuanian Seimas.

Lithuanian politician commented on the political developments in Georgia after the meeting with Chairman of the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze.

According to Žygimantas Pavilionis, with the new US administration, a new window of opportunities opened for Georgia. He said he was ready to meet the sides in resolving the political crisis. Georgia had two options, to choose either the way of Lithuania or the way of Belarus.

“Which choice will you make, Georgians? If you want to pass the way of Lithuania, unite now before it is too late. It will be too late when you still see some kind of tension in your streets. The problem is that Russia does not need action, you are struggling with each other. This is your biggest gift to Putin. Please stop this, unite, show unity and the maturity of your democracy,” Žygimantas Pavilionis stated.
