Georgia received 15 thousand Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccine shots as a gift from Lithuania, Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.
Deputy Georgian Foreign Minister Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili and Deputy Lithuanian Ambassador to Georgia Saulius Valainis hosted the cargo at the Tbilisi International Airport.
The Lithuanian government allocated Covid-19 vaccines for Eastern Partnership three member countries – Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.
FM David Zalkaliani thanked the Lithuanian government. “15 000 doses of AstraZeneca Vaccine, allocated by the Lithuanian government, have been delivered to Tbilisi, Georgia . A huge thank you to my colleague Gabrielius Landsbergis and all those involved in this process for their firm support and timely aid!,” FM tweeted.
