Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria said that one of the “television of falseness” is trying to demoralize Georgian armed forces by discrediting the Defence Ministry. At a briefing held on Wednesday Minister Izoria responded to the recent reports about his property, saying that his credit is USD 145,000 and not USD 700,000.

By discrediting the Defence Ministry, the television aims to cause demoralization, negative mood in the Georgian Armed Forces amid the situation when it is internationally recognized as an exemplary agency for its implemented reforms and successes. The “television of falseness” is irritated by these successes and their attacks, especially during the pre-election period, is amoral. According to the Defence Minister, the main source of income for his family is USD 39,000, an annual income from his house, which was rented in 2015 for 5 years.
