Levan Gopodze: Health condition of COVID-19 patient from Abkhazia improved
Director of the Central Republican Hospital, Levan Gopodze, said, 18 coronavirus patients remain in hospital. One of them is in a critical state.
As for the patient transferred from Russian-occupied Abkhazia, the doctor noted that after intensive therapy, his health condition has improved.
At the same time, one patient is expected to recover from COVID-19 tomorrow.
As of August 3, two new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Georgia today, increasing the total number of infected people to 1179, according to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).
Four more patients have recovered from the novel virus in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cured patients up to 959.
Marina Ezugbaia, Medical Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, said, one of the new coronavirus cases has contact with an infected patient. Another one is under in-depth study.
