Lesson we must never forget, Georgian President echoes 9/11 anniversary

20 years ago, the world was shaken by the tragedy of 9/11, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili wrote on Twitter as the world marks the 20th anniversary of the attack by al Qaida on the Twin Towers in New York, killing thousands of people.

“20 years ago, the international community stood together to fight for global security. Georgia has and continues to do its part. The global response to evil in our time was solidarity, a lesson we must never forget,” Zourabichvili said.
