Lelo's Kupradze: Former PM Garibashvili was "merely pawn" serving Ivanishvili's Anti-Georgian Dream
“Any custodial or non-custodial measures applied against Irakli Garibashvili are political measures designed to punish him due to internal political discord, Irakli Kupradze, a member of the Lelo-Strong Georgia party, has stated.
As Kupradze stated, Bidzina Ivanishvili is the country’s chief architect of corruption, and every public official under his power should be held accountable and prosecuted for corruption charges.
“The initiation of criminal proceedings against Irakli Garibashvili has been launched solely as a result of an internal settling of scores, internal discord. In reality, this country is governed by an entire pack of political corruptionists.
The foremost architect of corruption in the country is Bidzina Ivanishvili, and every high-ranking public official under his command should be charged with corruption, because today these corrupt schemes have been set up on a nationwide scale across Georgia. Irakli Garibashvili was merely one pawn in all of this, serving the interests of Ivanishvili’s ‘Anti-Georgian Dream’.
Every custodial or non-custodial measure applied against him is a political measure designed to punish him due to internal political discord.
In reality, we are dealing with the most corrupt government imaginable. They are constantly talking amongst themselves. The involved parties include Garibashvili, Kobakhidze, and Ivanishvili, who have been complicit in numerous crimes together for many years. They possess information about each other’s crimes, they conflict with one another, and all are accomplices in criminal activity.
Every person who is now supposedly charged is a member and part of this criminal organisation. They were in collusion, they remain in collusion, and they will continue to be in collusion in the future, until Irakli Garibashvili and all those who are obliged to speak publicly come forward and speak about the crimes that Georgian Dream has committed,” declared Irakli Kupradze.
For reference, Georgia’s Prosecutor’s Office has brought charges against the country’s former Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili. Prosecutors are seeking bail of one million lari as a preventive measure.
