New legislative initiatives were discussed at today’s Bureau session of the Parliament of Georgia.

The Parliament will review amendments to the Organic Law “Election Code of Georgia” during the spring session. The draft aims to clarify and address various issues.

Other proposed legislative changes include amendments to the Organic Law “On Political Unions of Citizens,” the Law “On State Compensation and State Academic Scholarship,” and the “Code of Children’s Rights.”

The Bureau session, chaired by Deputy Speaker Nino Tsilosani, also covered organizational matters, including the Committee on Procedural Issues and Rules’ conclusion on the early termination of Irakli Beraia’s parliamentary powers and the draft resolution related to it.

Additionally, the Bureau members considered the issue of electing four new members of the Central Election Commission of Georgia.
