Latvian FM: Georgia's situation remains unchanged; government uninterested in European path

“Nothing has changed in Georgia; the situation remains unchanged. We know what the Georgian people want and what they deserve, but it appears that the government is not interested in embracing the European path,” Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Braže stated ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

When asked about possible additional measures the EU might consider against the Georgian government, Braže responded:

“We have full confidence that the Georgian people will make the right choice and honour their commitments to Europe. They will drive the country’s progress.”
