Kutaisi International University and Tokai University sign cooperation memorandum

During the working visit of the Kutaisi University delegation to Japan, Kutaisi International University (KIU) and Tokai University signed a trilateral cooperation memorandum.

The document aims to foster partnership relations among scientific researchers and higher education institutions, promote exchange programmes for students and academic staff, and strengthen innovative educational initiatives.

Acting Rector of the Kutaisi University Paata Turava, Kutaisi University Campus Therapy Centre Director Valkhtang Tsagareli and Tokai University Vice Rector Yoshitaka Kajita signed the memorandum. Georgian Ambassador Plenipotentiary to Japan, Teimuraz Lezhava, attended the ceremony and wished the signatories success in their future endeavours and set goals.

According to Kutaisi International University, the memorandum creates new opportunities for both students and researchers. At the same time, it promotes international academic collaboration and strengthens cultural ties between Georgia and Japan.

Within the framework of the visit, the KIU delegation will hold meetings with representatives of leading universities and research institutions.

Founded in 1942, Tokai University is one of the largest private, non-sectarian higher education institutions in Tokyo. It offers advanced education in engineering, medicine, economics, and the humanities. Currently, the university enrols 30,000 students from Japan and around the world, thereby playing an important role in the global educational landscape.
