Kutaisi City Court reviews administrative offence case against nine individuals

An administrative case against nine individuals is underway at the Kutaisi City Court. Gela Mtivlishvili, Nino Katamadze, Vladimer Apkhazava, Khvicha Vashakmadze, Ketevan Filauri, Maia Tsiramua, Irina Zarandia, Givi Tsintsadze, and Eka Kukhalashvili are charged under Article 174, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses.

The defense requested Judge Tsitsino Mosidze to suspend the hearing, arguing that the article on administrative offenses contradicts the Constitution.

Additionally, Eka Kukhalashvili’s lawyer, Valeri Tevdoradze, filed a motion for the prosecution to present an extract from the public registry containing a cadastral record of Judge Malkhaz Okropirashvili’s residential properties, including his Bakuriani house. The judge granted the motion.

The individuals were charged after holding a rally near the residential building of Judge Okropirashvili, protesting his decision not to consider the Batumi City Court’s ruling in the Mzia Amaglobeli case.
