Tbilisi Land Use Master Plan is of utmost importance for Tbilisi, therefore, we have made the decision to assist the City Institute to meet its obligation – Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said at a briefing at City Assembly today.

As he  noted, in order to perfect the document we continue intensive work with with the General Plan Group. “We have an expectation and we will assist the “City Institute” to present effective, long-term and high-quality material, “- Mayor stated.

“As far as you know, we have promised our capital to adopt the Tbilisi Land Use Master Plan. From the first day of my entry into the City Hall, we have been working with the group of the Master Plan. We have involved international experts in the process of assessment and analyzes. As the result of it, certain objections and directions have been made and they were discussed publicity. Consequently, we have ensured that the presented materials can not be accepted,” – Kakha Kaladze said.

The Mayor explained that 5 stages of the concept, presented by the “City Institute” are acceptable. He said that implementation of the conceptual part of the Master Plan should be carried out easily, within the reasonable timeframes and in compliance with the demands of each citizen of the city.

“It should have been included in the 6th stage. We are completing the discussions and polemics on the Tbilisi Land Use Master Plan. Comments, responses to them and the necessary conditions for the submission of works are processed and comprehensible. The Tbilisi Land Use Master Plan is of utmost importance for Tbilisi, therefore, we have made the decision to assist the “City Institute” to meet its obligation. We have an expectation and we will assist the “City Institute” to present effective, long-term and high-quality material, “- Tbilisi Mayor stated.

He said final documents will be submitted by June 1.
