Justice Minister: We treat all individuals equally before law, regardless of their incarceration status

Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze emphasized the importance of Justice Houses in penitentiary facilities while reporting to the Parliament, noting that they offer inmates diverse services that contribute to their resocialization.

“You are aware that once a person exits the prison premises, they will have complete freedom to engage in any activity, just like any other civilian outside the prison. This is to ensure equality before the law. We do not make distinctions among individuals based on their location, inside or outside of prison,” he said.

According to Rati Bregadze, justice houses at the penitentiary facilities have served up to 500 inmates since the launch.
