Justice Minister presents Georgian innovative projects to UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs
Georgian Justice Minister Paata Salia met with Li Junhua, UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs. During the meeting, the officials discussed the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, as well as prospects for further strengthening this partnership.
Special emphasis was placed on the organisation of the UN Public Services Forum. This internationally significant event is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi from June 23 to 25 this year and will host up to 500 high-level guests and experts from around the globe.
The discussion also highlighted Georgia’s progress in public service reforms and the modernisation of state services. Minister Salia announced that Georgia will present three innovative projects at the UN Civil Service Awards: Justice Houses, ProbBox, and Re-Market. According to him, these initiatives aim to deliver inclusive and accessible services to citizens.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Deputy Minister Lana Morgoshia, representatives of the Ministry of Justice, and Georgia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN.
The delegation from the Ministry of Justice is participating in the 25th session of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA). This platform serves as a vital international forum for sharing insights on public governance reforms and best practices.
