Judo: Giorgi Sardalashvili claims silver at European Championships #1TVSPORT

At the European Judo Championships currently underway in Tbilisi, reigning champion Giorgi Sardalashvili (60 kg) has taken the silver medal, falling to a painful technique in the final against Luka Mkheidze, who competes for France.

Tomorrow, April 17, five Georgian judokas will contest medals: in the men’s 73 kg category, Lasha Shavdatuashvili and Mikheil Bakhbakhashvili, while in the women’s competition, Eter Liparteliani and Nino Loladze (both at 57 kg) and Nino Tsiklauri (63 kg).

Preliminary bouts get underway at 10:00, with Georgian Public Broadcaster’s First Channel carrying a live broadcast of the finals block from 16:00.
