Judo: Eter Liparteliani opens European Championship with victory #1TVSPORT

Reigning world champion Eter Liparteliani (57kg) secured her first triumph at the ongoing European Judo Championships in Tbilisi.

The Georgian judoka defeated Norwegian Elise Bjoras with four yukos, advancing to the round of 16.

Today, four more Georgian judokas will compete for medals at the tournament: Lasha Shavdatuashvili and Mikheil Bakhbakhashvili in the men’s 73 kg category, and Nino Loladze (57 kg), along with Nino Tsiklauri (63 kg) in the women’s divisions.

The continental championship is currently taking place at the Tbilisi Arena.

On the second day of the European Championships, medals will be awarded in three weight categories: men’s 73 kg, and women’s 57 and 63 kg. Preliminary matches commenced at 10:00, with live coverage of the final block on GPB First Channel from 16:00.
