NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg congratulates Salome Zurabishvili on her election as President of Georgia.

At today’s press conference in Brussels, Stoltenberg was asked about the international observers’ views in connection with the presidential elections in Georgia.

When responding to the question, Stoltenberg noted that NATO had not sent observers to Georgia, but international observers had free access to electoral processes.

“Congratulations to the new President of Georgia. We do not have our observers at this election. It is important that the election observers had full access and their remarks should be taken into account”, – Jens Stoltenberg states.
