James Appathurai: Political agreement to be opportunity to overcome polarisation
The political agreement in Georgia is really good news, for Georgians and for all of us in the international community who want to see Georgia succeed, said James Appathurai, NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, in his statement posted on Facebook.
According to James Appathurai, the agreement should serve as an opportunity to overcome the polarisation of politics in Georgia.
“The political agreement in Georgia is really good news, for Georgians and for all of us in the international community who want to see Georgia succeed. We appreciate the efforts by the EU and the US Ambassador to help make this possible. This agreement should serve as an opportunity to overcome the polarisation of politics in Georgia,” Appathurai said.
The Georgian political parties signed A way ahead for Georgia, a compromise document submitted to the parties by the European Council President Charles Michel, at the Orbeliani Palace on April 19.
