James Appathurai – NATO-Georgia training demonstrates that we are one team
“NATO-Georgia training is the demonstration that we are one team,” James Appathurai, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia told First Channel in an exclusive interview.
According to Appathurai, military training will take place in the spring of 2019 and although Georgia is not a member of NATO, it represents one of the most active and reliable partners.
“This is an important political signal which NATO sends by holding of joint training. We do nothing against others and its purpose should be clear for everybody. This is a political signal of solidarity and demonstration that we are one team consisting of different countries,” Appathurai told First Channel.
