With the support of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, the IV International Vocalist Competition OPERA CROWN will take place in Tbilisi from November 4 to 8.

The Ministry has announced that the event is organised and hosted by the Tbilisi Zakaria Paliashvili State Professional Opera and Ballet Theatre.

“This year, we received over 300 applications, from which 41 young talents have been selected,” stated the Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze, during a press conference held in connection with the competition.

“I am confident that the international jury will do everything possible to open pathways for these young artists onto the world’s stages, fostering healthy competition and artistic growth,” Rukhadze added.

According to the Ministry, singers from 22 countries worldwide will participate this year. A distinguished panel comprising leaders from some of the world’s premier opera houses and agencies will evaluate the contestants. Badri Maisuradze, Artistic Director of the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre, chairs the jury.
