Irakli Shotadze - Mirza Subeliani’s son was not connected to the committed murder
All the necessary investigative and procedural actions were conducted and it was established that Mirza Subeliani’s son was not connected to the committed murder, – ex-chief prosecutor of Georgia Irakli Shotadze said during the sitting of the Parliamentary Interim Facts-Finding Commission into Khorava Street murder case.
Shotadze made this remark when responding to the question of the chairman of the commission Sergi Kapanadze, who asked whether ex-chief prosecutor thought that his instruction was fulfilled despite of the fact that certain investigative activities have not been conducted.
“The case materials found that the cell phone as well as text message conversations of Mirza Subeliani’s son were not seized, the house was not searched, Subeliani abd his spouse were not questioned, M.K.’s house was not searched, his clothes were not seized, his text message conversations were not seized and so on. How do you think, has the instruction, which was given by you to conduct all necessary investigative activities in order to establish the connection of Mirza Subeliani’s son and relative with the incident, fulfilled or not?” Kapanadze asked Shotadze.
“I think that I got full information about the possible participation of Mirza Subeliani’s son in the murder. Accordingly, my instruction has been fulfilled, and I am aware of the specific fact. All necessary investigative and procedural actions were conducted and it was established that Mirza Subeliani’s son had no connection to commit murder,” Shotadze said.
