Irakli Okruashvili sentenced to 5 years in prison over 20-21 June events

Irakli Okruashvili, Georgia’s Ex-Defense Minister and the leader of Victorious Georgia party has been sentenced to five years in prison by Georgian Supreme Court for incitement to group violence during the 20-21 June 2019 protests in Tbilisi.

On top of that, Irakli Okruashvili has been charged with abuse of power regarding the high-profile murder case of Amiran (Buta) Robakidze in 2004.
