“There is a coordinated attempt to harm the vital interests of our country, and all of this requires an investigation,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze asserted in response to a journalist’s question regarding the investigation launched by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the Prime Minister, the investigation is highly relevant, but the further course of action will be determined by the Prosecutor’s Office and ultimately the court.

“I believe this investigation is absolutely pertinent; the details will be managed by the Prosecutor’s Office itself and, ultimately, by the court. If we look beyond legal assessments and consider the events that have unfolded in our country over the years from a political standpoint, it becomes clear that there is a coordinated attempt to undermine our nation’s vital interests. While the relevant forces have not been successful, the mere attempt is already subject to penalties.

Additionally, it is evident that direct conversations are taking place concerning the artificial creation of an economic crisis. This, too, showcases a thoroughly coordinated effort, and naturally, all of this demands an investigation. The Prosecutor’s Office and, ultimately, the court will determine the outcome,” the Prime Minister stated.
