Special Investigation Service probes into possible cases of violent abuse of power

The Adjara Department of the Special Investigation Service is investigating possible cases of violent abuse of power by certain employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs against individuals detained at the protest rally in Batumi.

The department’s press service told GPB First Channel that the investigation began on January 13.

According to available information, among those under investigation is Irakli Dgebuadze, the Head of the Adjara Police Department.
