Interior Minister, CEC Chair sign cooperation memorandum to ensure holding local elections in a peaceful, safe environment
Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Gela Geladze and Chair of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Giorgi Kalandarishvili signed a cooperation memorandum to ensure holding 2025 municipal elections in a peaceful and safe environment.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the memorandum envisages joint training and working meetings, exhange of information and providing consultations.
“The Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Election Commission has been signed in recent years, before each election, to ensure the security of the election process and to coordinate work,” the MIA said.
