Ingorokva Clinic reports law enforcement officer injured in protest suffers from skull trauma
Five individuals injured during the protest have been admitted to Ingorokva Clinic. Among them, a law enforcement officer is in a critical condition.
Ani Dalakishvili, head of the clinic’s Emergency Department, confirmed that the officer has sustained a skull injury, including a contusion and a fragmented fracture of the right temporal bone.
She explained that two of the injured have already been discharged home.
“Altogether, five injured persons were brought to us from the demonstration. The condition of four of these patients was relatively stable. Two have already been discharged. Concerning the law enforcement officer, his situation is particularly serious. A computed tomography scan revealed a skull injury, along with a bruise and a fragmentary fracture of the right temporal bone, though it does not currently require surgical intervention. He is therefore being monitored in the neuroresuscitation unit. A follow-up CT scan shows encouraging progress,” said Ani Dalakishvili.
