Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze held a meeting with representatives of member companies of the Business Association of Georgia (BAG).

Following the discussions, Revaz Sokhadze emphasised that business representatives were informed about the ongoing reforms and forthcoming projects within the Ministry of Infrastructure.

“We discussed the needs and challenges faced by the business community. We are committed to working closely with the Association and each individual business, tailoring our support to their specific issues and the opportunities that our planned projects present. I believe this collaboration will be mutually beneficial and, most importantly, advantageous for our country,” Sokhadze stated.

The Minister also shared the Ministry’s vision and policy directions with industry representatives. Sokhadze emphasised that the Ministry places particular importance on partnership with the private sector, recognising that active cooperation is vital for the successful realisation of projects and for driving the country’s economic growth.

“Currently, nearly four billion GEL is allocated to infrastructure initiatives. The health and resilience of the construction sector are therefore of strategic importance to us. We are committed to engaging with the private sector transparently and equitably. Ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of projects is essential, and we pledge to uphold a fair, results-oriented approach at all times. We will defend the interests of the state just as you would protect your company’s interests,” Sokhadze assured.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Minister and heads of subordinate agencies introduced the business representatives to recent innovations, ongoing processes, and strategic plans, including major infrastructure projects set to commence shortly.

The Ministry’s communication also noted that members of the association shared insights into challenges within the private sector and discussed topics vital for effective cooperation. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment.
